Saint Louis offers a full program of religious education up to and including adults. R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a process for welcoming new members into the Catholic Church. If interested, please contact the religious education office for more information.
Saint Louis Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults offers a full program of religious education for adults to become fully initiated into the Catholic Church through a process of weekly meetings for catechesis and faith sharing. This leads to reception of the sacraments at the Easter Vigil.
R.C.I.A is intended for those adults never Baptized, adults Baptized in another Christian faith who wish to become Catholic, or those who were Baptized as Catholics but never received religious education, Eucharist or Confirmation.
Contact or Email Religious Education Coordinator Mrs. Louise Forget for more information.
The vision of the Saint Louis Religious Education board calls us to challenge all to live in the Kingdom of God, to foster growth in faith and to deepen our Catholic knowledge. Our Religious Education Program strives to meet these goals for all parishioners and members of the parish. The Documents of Vatican II affirm the right and obligation of parents as the primary religious educators of their children. Our Parish Religious Education Program is designed to help parents fulfill this important responsibility.

Family Requirements & Expectations
Grades Preschool ~ Grade 6: Classes meet on Sunday mornings in Saint Louis School beginning in late September. A complete schedule will be included in the registration packet sent from the Religious Education Office.
JH 7&8th Grades ~ Sr. High 9&10th Grades: A Youth Ministry model of religious education. This means while young people are expected to meet certain requirements each year, they have several choices on how and when to meet these requirements.
Children in Grade 2 will receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. Classes for preparation are held as their regular classroom instruction during the year. There will be parent and student meetings throughout the year. At least one parent needs to attend these with their child. A full schedule of the meetings will be given to your child in class. Older children needing the sacraments will be assigned to classes on an individual basis.
This program is open to students in Grade 11 and over who are active members of Saint Louis Parish. This means that they attend Mass on a regular basis and have participated in Religious Education, either in our program or another Catholic School. Classes are held on Sunday Evenings once a month throughout the year. A retreat, sponsor/candidate meeting and Commitment Mass are also required.
